Meet Miss Zoe

Why Horses?

They've been my greatest teachers.

Horses have taught me patience, confidence, perseverance, humility, and the importance of being present. They have a way of quieting the noise of everyday life and reminding us to slow down, breathe, and simply enjoy the moment.

They don't care about titles, accomplishments, or appearances. They respond to authenticity.

That is the gift I hope every student experiences.

Why I Teach

Teaching allows me to combine two things I love most: horses and people.

Every rider is different, with their own goals, experiences, and challenges. My goal is to meet each student where they are and help them grow from there.

Whether you're stepping into the saddle for the first time or looking to become a more confident rider, you'll be encouraged, challenged, and supported along the way.

Watching a rider overcome a fear, reach a goal, or simply leave the barn smiling is what makes teaching so rewarding. Riding is only part of the journey. My lessons focus on understanding the horse as a partner—learning body language, building trust, practicing good horsemanship, and communicating with respect.

I want my students to become confident riders, but even more importantly, confident people.

Why Roscoe

The heart behind the name…

Roscoe came into my life two years ago, during a season filled with new beginnings.

From the very beginning, he was a little fighter.

He and his littermates struggled with seizures, and Roscoe had six in a single day. He was also battling parasites and was incredibly sick. There were moments when neither I nor the vet knew if he was going to make it.

But Roscoe was brave.

With multiple medications, a lot of care, and a whole lot of determination, he made it through. He didn't give up—and neither did I.

Today, Roscoe loves to run, play with his toys, steal socks, enjoy treats, and splash in the water. He loves the horses and has become a familiar face around the barn.

But his place in my life goes far beyond being my dog.

On the days that felt heavy, Roscoe somehow always knew how to pull me out of my own head. He was there for me, just as I was there for him. Somewhere along the way, we became a team.

When I began thinking about what to name my business, I considered naming it after some of the horses who have shaped my life—especially my first horse and the ones who taught me so much.

But I kept coming back to Roscoe.

Because I realized I didn't want to name this chapter after something that represented my past. I wanted it to represent what was beginning.

Roscoe represents resilience.
He represents courage when things are uncertain.
He represents choosing to keep going.
He represents companionship, joy, and finding your way through hard seasons.

So, Roscoe's Riding Club isn't simply named after a dog.

It's named after what I hope this place represents: new beginnings, connection, confidence, adventure, and the courage to keep going—even when you aren't sure what's waiting on the other side.

Why Roscoe's Riding Club?

At Roscoe's, horseback riding is about more than what's happening in the saddle. It's about confidence, connection, responsibility, and growth.

We create a welcoming environment where riders of all ages and experience levels can learn, build relationships with their horses, and enjoy the journey.

My hope is that you leave every lesson having learned something new, feeling a little more confident, and carrying a little of the peace and joy that horses have brought into my life.

I can't wait to welcome you to the barn and see where your journey begins.
